Hi!

I understand that there is a tutorial on how to input form to get data and store it in another tab in excel using VBA. However, my office sharepoint does not allow us to use macro instead can it be created using formula?

Thank you!

I'll try to look at that later today when I get to my PC. You can create forms without VBA but it depends what you're trying to do.

Did you see my revised answer on Vlookup and data validation? Is your idea to expand on that?

Hi.
No. This is a new worksheet. Coz I'm working on a database which will be put in sharepoint and macros can't works.
if I'm using excel form, yes it can save all the datas entered but it's not user friendly where each time a user need to key in they have to open tat form.
seek ur kind help on this.

Understood but kindly see the other Answer I posted earlier today Macro formula not working and - if it helps- mark it as Selected (in accordance with the Rules of the Forum). It's the only tangible "reward" I get for helping anyone.

Okay, I have a good solution for you (no macros) but don't have time to write it up. (Think it will work on Sharepoint but I don't have access to one to test). I'll do that explanation and provide an answer later today hopefully but only after you respond on the point above.

@John_Ru-I find it difficult to see how a form can add data to a database without VBA, so it would be interesting to see your solution. I have been using UserForms to add to databases for twenty five years, but they always use VBA.

Hi royC

Wow! It's nearly 2 years since I created a potential solution for this (but the User didn't respond to a previous Answer so I didn't waste more time on it). I'd completely forgotten about it.

If you want to see that solution (which does enter new records and review/ edit  existing entries), you'll need to ask a new Question (please- getting an Answer makred as Selected is the ONLY "reward" I get for my effort- adding to an old Discussion doesn't allow that outcome).

Note that it works with 365 (which I see you have) but don't expect graphical design tools like in VBA UserForms). I'm likely to be busy on personal matters for the next three days but ask a Question and I'll reply soon (hoping that you respond appropriately).
