Why is my =NOW() formula not calculating when settings and cell format are correct?

NOW() does not update continuously but it  does so on worksheet recalculation.

If you press F2 (or F9) on any cell on your sheet, recalculation occurs and the NOW() cell will be refreshed.

Hope this solves your problem. If not, please edit your Question and use the Add Files.... button to upload your Excel file for us to see.

Thank you, for some reason F2 or F9 don't work for me. I have to activate a cell and then press enter for the time to calculate

You're welcome Lynn (and thanks for selecting my answer). Glad you realised that entering that cell recalculated too. Perhaps the F keys have been re-assigned. Shift+F9 normally recalculated a sheet BTW.
