Is there an easy way to connect to a database, like a mysql database and get a information from a table or to just download the entire table into Excel? I think I will have to use a macro to do that but I'm not really sure.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

I'm not a Mysql user, however, you may want to check into Excel's ODBC connections under the DATA tab (Existing Connections OR From Other Sources). From there I have been able to run MsQueries through excel on ODBC databases.
