how do i split formulated value in a cell once it has reached a maximun lenght

I need the cell in example A to to go up to maximum lenght (2400), when it exceeds maximun lenght i need it to divde it in half as in example B. i also need the cell containing the quantity to do the same

maximun length    2440               SIZE REQUIRED   2800               FROM THIS QTY SIZE A     1 2800             TO THIS   QTY SIZE B     2 1400

Delayed reaction but here goes...If you can save your large Row Lenght file as text or CSV, then you can use excel to 'Split' it.  Once your're in Excel, File Open your Text or CSV file (go to location,you may need to change to view "ALL FILES" and NOT just excel) once you select file you should be able to use the Text import wizzard to import text.  I would suggest Fixed Width (it even has a meter at the top to show you the number of characters) find your splitting point and Parse away!  If you select ONE break line, it will put your text in Column A & B; 2 break lines will put in 3 columns etc ( for N breakpoints, you will have N+1 cells filled.   I hope this helps   if it does Give Some Credit! thanks
