Skip empty cell using a function in my formula

0

I've imported some statistics onto excell. Unfortunately, it comes across with column headings in between every 10 rows or so. My vlookup command is not working properly (I assume) when i reference this table because of these column heading in between rows. How can I add a function into my formula, so that I can skip over these column headings that pertain useless information?

Example"

0.5     2.8      5.6      3.8      2.5      1.3

1.2      5.5      6.8      0.2       1.0      5.0

"heading"      "heading"     "heading"

2.2     1.2      3.8     5.2      0.5       0.2

1.2      3.5    6.8      9.8      6.2       5.0

"heading"      "heading"     "heading"

1.2      3.5    6.8      9.8      6.2       5.0

2.2     1.2      3.8     5.2      0.5       0.2

I am referencing the table using vlookup.

That shouldn't cause any issues. It must be something with the formula that you are using. Update your question and include a sample worksheet or at least the vlookup formula that you are using.
