I'm using code from the VBA & Macros for Excel 2007 book and pg 255 to populate a userform using an advanced filter to get a unique list. The code hangs up at the line: "With.Me.lbCust". I'm getting an error "Message or Data Member not found". What am I missing?
I'm examining hunter effort during a 13-day hunting season (over a two-year period which is actually a total of 26 days; 13 days in year 1 and 13 days in year 2) that is separated into two exposure periods (initial: days 1-3; prolonged: days 4-13) within two treatments (low density and high density). I calculated the total number of hours hunted in each treatment by each period (e.g.,

Hunters observe fewer animals during the prolonged exposure period and I want to determine if this could be due to a reduction in total hours hunted. What would be the best way to answer this question? My original thoughts were to calculate average hours hunted by dividing the total number hours by number of days (e.g., initial exposu 126:26:00 / 6 days = 21:04:20; prolonged exposu 320:28:00 / 20 days = 16:01:24). My only question is whether the average hours hunted per day needs to be weighted by number of days? If so, how can this be done? Overall, I need to know whether hunted hours is the sole cause of fewer animals being observed. Thank you very much!

I am looking a matrix H such that
H= mmult(mniverse(mmult(transpose(x),x)),mmult(transpose(x),Y)). I can perform this action and solve it in excel and get a matrix for Y.
I can do the same in VBA by recording a macro and get done with it, but what if I want to perform the same analysis for different data? How can I create a dynamic array/matrix in VBA and solve for the same?
Thank You
Hi,
I am trying to optimize a current existing file into a Excel 2007 format which will be published in Excel Services within SharePoint. My question is the following:
Column Headers are the months: without using a macro (client does not want coding), I am trying to forumlate the cells that if an "X" is added in a row, then it will sum the figures in the "total actual invoiced". The $$ in blue - is the estimate future payment. Please see below:
Row1: X X X X X
Row 2: Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun July Aug Sept Oct Nov Dec
Row 3: $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$ $$
What is the best way to handle this?
Thanks!
Amy
I believe this is more of a statistical question/problem, but i need to estimate the number of responses i can expect based on three sets of data - brand, mail size, and month. My variables will be measure by calls per brand & mail piece, calls per brand and month, and calls per month and mail piece. I need to take those three values and make estimates and recommendations.
I post this question here because in my limited knowledge of macros and programming, the Solver add-on was the only reliable way i could trust myself to do this. Can anyone suggest a Function/formula to do this, or should i go the Solver route? I can provide examples if need be. Thanks!
HELP! Iwould like excel to automatically enter an item description in column B when I type an item code in column A. I would THEN like a price to automatically be placed in column C, that corresponds with the item code in Column A.
Can this be done? I have an estimate template, and a list of item codes, with their corresonding descriptions and prices. . . how do I tell excell to fill in the estimate template automatically when a certain item code is entered?
i.e., ( When "ILU" is entered in column A, EXCEL would automatically enter the description "I Love You" in column B, which in turn, places the value $0.00 in column C.) The task code, description and value information can be accessed from a table on the same worksheet as the estimate template.
Does this make sense? I would appreciate any help in writing a formula for this estimate sheet.
Thanks!
Hi! My group and I are doing a Business Statistics course, and we're pretty new at Microsoft Excel, so we're hoping we'll be able to get some help here!

Question: Develop a 95% confidence interval estimate of the mean assets for the population of money market funds (the data is on investment services).

We're trying to show these interval estimates

hi, I was wondering how to do this:
let's say I have a table of values in sheet 2:
108
110.5
113
115.5
then in sheet 1:
I enter the number 109 in column A1, and I want excel to show me in the cell beside it what value it is closest to based on the values in the table in sheet 2.
Hi everyone, first thanks for the help.
I am trying to create a histogram and let me explain some of the data.
I have a list of data separated like so:
3.5
3.6
3.8
3.8
3.9
3.9
etc...
Now I need to calculate the frequencies of these like so:
3.5 (up to but not including) 4.0
4.0 (up to but not including) 4.5
I can count out the frequencies myself but i need to create a histogram (bar graph) with the y axis as the frequency and the x axis as the IMR(infant mortality rate: ie the 3.5 (up to but not including) 4.0).
I am having problems with calculating the frequencies because when setting the bin values because they include 4.0.
If this is confusing I can provide some more information, but cannot find a good tutorial that would create a histogram anywhere remotely close to the histogram i drew by hand.
I have a data set based on an uneven distribution of cards in a 60 card deck, each with a value ranging from 0-5.
I need to build a probability distribution of all the random samples of 10. So, how many random sets of 10. have an average value of 1 (or a total of 10) etc.
Then, I need to build a variable distribution so that it changes as I change the sample size. So, with a sample of 20 cards, what does the distribution look like?
Can this be done in excel? Should I post what I have now to work with?
