I have 40km in one cell. If I want to use this cell as part of a formula to calculate average speed how can I do it without having to remove the km?

You can use =LEFT(A1,2)/10
A1 would be teh cell and 2 being the chartacters. The above would return 4 if 40km was in cell A1
