HI,

I NEED TO DO THE CONDITIONAL FORMATTING TO HIGHLIGHT THE CELLS WHICH CONTAINS THE INFORMATION/VALUE PRESENT IN CELL A4.

IF THE VALUE CHANGES TO AM IN CELL A4, HIGHLIGHHT THOSE CELLS IN WHICH THE NAME STARTS WITH AM. USE THE FORMULA/NEW RULE IN CONDITIONAL FORMATTING.

ATTACHED EXCEL FOR REFRENCE.

I created a conditional format - you can see it using Conditional Formatting; Manage Rule; Edit Rule.  The named Range in Cell A3 (called 'Input') is what is being looked up.  If you change it, to let say "AL" you will have update resultsl  It's kind of a crazy formula, but it test to see if condition is TRUE, if it is, then it will highlight the cell(s).  Sorry, renamed file and moved some cells around, but the results are good!  Let me know how this works out for you!  Q
