Hi again

Thanks for the answer it has been much appreciated. Now i would like to make or change the same row as showing no longer active in the main sheet. For example the headings are

A2 SHOWS FRI123 AS 1 FRI MALE DEAD and A3 shows 1 FRI456 FRI F ACTIVE

FRI          FRI F   FRI M    FEMALE  MALE  STATUS

FRI123       0           1             0             1         DEAD

FRI456       1           0             1             0         ACTIVE

TOTALS     1           1             1             1

TL FRI IS 2 however because 1 is now dead how can i highlight the entire row automatically  when the formula shows dead. At the moment im able to highlight just the word dead.

also the totals need to change to show the dead as not been counted. If i delete this from the main sheet it also deletes it from the deaths sheet. I want it to remain on the main sheet but showing as in active. When i add a -1 to the FRI M and Male columns it doesnt recalculate down the bottom.

Once the formula is done and the dead is put into another sheet it puts it in the same location as it appears in the main sheet. Am i able to have it put in the next available space in the new sheet?

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you soon.

It absolutely worked for linking cells

Ok, just read this one and you need to include a sample file. Otherwise I can only give you generic help only, like, use the SUMIF() function and conditionally format the entire row.
