Can you tell me why my personal.xlsb file opens every time I use Excel, even with .xlsx files. It also opens when when I initiate the Excel application by clicking on the icon (rather than an an existing file). Could this cause a problem with vba routines? How do I fix? Thank you.

I figured it out. I went to the View tab and selected "Hide". I must have inadvertently selected unhidden it at some point.
