I use MS Excel 2007 since last several years and I have an important excel file that I work on it everyday. A few days ago, I scanned my HDD for likely bad sectors, with "Partitio GURU" HDD repair tool because of lag of my windows. Next day, I couldn't open my excel file. I looked to my file folder and unfortunately I couldn't see it there, and I saw a new file named "9AE322A2.tmp" exists. I copy it to another HDD and renamed it to .xlsx extension and then try to open it. MS Excel prompted to give my password and then displayed the Recover Confirmation window.
After recovery process, it showed the recovery result window with this content:
"Excel completed file level validation and repair. Some parts of this workbook may have been repaired or discarded.Replaced Part: /xl/worksheets/sheet4.xml part with XML error. No attribute name may appear more than once in the same start tag or empty element tag. Line 2, column 503842.
Removed Records: Worksheet properties from /xl/workbook.xml part (Workbook)"
Then it opened the file and all worksheets exist, but all of them are empty.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

How can an excel 2007 file be renamed to 9AE322A2.tmp and Why should this happen?

Sometimes due to electric discontinuity , Windows or program failure, the file could have problems and sometimes the file couldn't be opened, (I saw that also when saving a file with vba password protected and you have an Antivirus, and somethings I didn't know until now) and excel try to make a file with strange name like that with .tmp or not, and it will try to repair that file and open it next time you open it.

I'm going to say that this has more to do with the program you used to scan for bad sectors than something to do with Excel.
I would try to use a data recovery tool to get the data back. There are many such programs on ther internet that are free and are used to get files back that have been accidentally deleted. I would try that first and see if the Excel file appears there in a list of deleted files; if it does, you can usually recover it for free depending on the program.
(I've used these programs before to recover data but I don't remember the names of any of them; just do a Google search and you'll find lots of options.)
The main thing for the future though is to ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR FILES.
