working out options in nvp system

Please can you explain how do you workout options in different brackets for a project using - cost 30 000, installation cost 10 000, yearly maintenance 3 500 , yearly profit 10 000 and project lifetime 5years for different years for each option at % of year 0,1,2,3 =10%  year 4,5,6, =8%  year 7,8 =5%

If you want this to be a question about Excel you need to create a worksheet with your data and designate cells in which you want the results. Without that it's a maths question that we aren't very good at on this forum. Perhaps that's the reason why I don't understand "for each option at % of year" or how one can expect such options for years 7 and 8 if the project lifetime is only 5 years.

I understand - but in order for creating the worksheet , i dont the formula. It will be so must easier  if I submit the whole question on here and how they ask you to break it down for options 1 and 2 but I can't load tge picture of the question on here

You say you might "submit the whole question on here and how they ask you to break it down". Please note that we don't answer exam questions or do homework. Nor (as Variatus as said) do we teach mathematics.

I hope this helps (but I may be wrong)... If there are options extending the life beyond 5 years (wih forecast future reductions in the rate) then I believe you will need 3 NPV calculations. One for the first five years (at 10%), another for years 6 to 8 (at 8% but no initial costs and years 1 to 5 set to zero) and a third for years 9 and 10 (at 5% but no initial costs and year 1 to 8 set to zero). The sum of these NPVs will be the total project NPV (I believe).
