about getting the number of the last row

0

I count the number of occurences of numbers and the numbers are in many rows and      columns. Many numbers happened more than once, and they are all over the     spreadsheet. As each row below means that numbers showed up later than the above   row, I need to make a table showing the numbers in descending order of time, in that   range of occurence. So, I just need to do besides counting the number of occurences, is getting the number of the last row that number showed up. I m not sure if I can do it without having to write a macro, or if a macro will be necessary for it. Let me know if you can help me with this task. Thanks.

Hello Ed and welcome to the Forum

It's a little difficult for me to understand your need. Can you please attach a file to show what you have/ the result you need? To do that, go to your original Question, edit it and use the Add Files... button to attach an Excel file. Thanks in advance

It's relatively easy to find the last occurrence of a number in a particular column. But if your numbers are "all over the spreadsheet" one would have to loop through al 16000 columns, or such a portion of them as will be more than one. That implies the use of an array formula on the one hand and knowledge of the range to search in on the other. As John already said, post a workbook to show your problem.
