i am supervising site activities on a particular site. where concrete sample on each day has been collected and kept for 30 days in water. we name them as sample 1, sample 2 etc. and record the date of that sample in excel.
now my question is that, i want to excel highlite me that particular sample like sample 1 when completed it specified period of time.

You might use conditional formatting. Select the range with the Sample ID and create the CF with this formula.
=$B2<(TODAY()-30)In this example column B has the dates. The formula will automatically adapt to the row number ($B3, $B4 etc) depending upon the range of sample IDs you selected. If the date in column B is older than 30 days from TODAY() the sample ID in that row will be highlighted according to the format you have set.
