color rows based on cell value

If cell A1 =02567-45, then color row light blue,if cell A2 is 2568-46, then color light brown

Conditional formatting is what you need. Here are some very helpful resources:

Basically, just select the cells to color and go to the Home tab and then Conditional Formatting and then Highlight Cells Rules and choose an option; this works for simple formulas.

I am using excel 2003 and it's dfferent than excel 2007

I have 4 different numbers in column A,every time I put one of these number(07029-40,7029-41,0829-42,8049-42) in any row of column A I want that row to show a colored row for lest say 10 coloums

Don is using exxel 2016, try using excel 2003

Basically, just the same: get your formula for the conditional formatting correct > select all of the cells in the row that you wish to color, or the entire row > apply a custom conditional format. I don't remember where the Conditional Formatting menu item is located in Excel 2003, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.
