Pulling in Data from Website using VBA

0

Hi,

my requirement is to get stock price details from Yahoo finance. Since yahoo finance provides price details of various stocks on different links, VBA takes more time to pull the data from the website. So is there any way to solve this issue?

If you just want stock prices, you can update Excel to the latest version and try using the Stock data type on the data tab.

You basically just input ticker symbols in a column and select them and go to the Data tab and click the Stocks data type. After that you can click a drop down menu and select the data you want to view.

This may require you updating your version of Excel but it is a great new feature.

Here is a tutorial from Microsoft on this feature: Stock prices in Excel
