Hide/unhide rows

0

Hello I am looking for help,

I need a button that will open a window that is linked to all sheets in my workbook to hide/unhide specific rows across all the sheets (52 of). Basically I do a weekly stock take on my bar so I assign a row to a PLU number so when I add or remove products, so I need the pop up to ask "which PLU to add or remove" to make it a lot easier for me is this possible? Many thanks in advance. Joe

Yes, it is possible.

Without actual access to your workbook it is hard to say that it supports a fully automated solution but that is what I would recommend you to try for. Such a solution might have a control sheet in which all your PLU numbers are listed and a column next to the numbers in which you can enter Yes or No to make that number visible or hidden on all sheets.

As an alternative, such a column could exist on all sheets (it is very narrow), possibly replacing the need for a PLU number, and code is applying the change made on any of the sheets to all others. As you see, such a solution depends very much on the exact nature and use of the PLU number butĀ neither solution would require a popup. Instead, all solutions, including the one with the popup, would require code applying a filter to all sheets.

Note that forum rules prohibit follow-up questions. In this thread you asked about the feasibility. If you now wish to ask for help in implementing the idea, that would have to be done in another thread.
