unlocking specific cells

how do you unlock specific cells for anyone to change in a password protected sheet?  i have one cell that a qty needs to be entered and multiple cells with comboboxes with drop downs that other users need access for selection.  I am looking for a solution that does not require a password to unprotect the cells with a password to input the qty or select a choice from the combobox while the rest of the sheet is locked

Before you protect the worksheet, go to the cells that you want to be editable, right-click them > Format Cells > Protection tab > uncheck Locked.

Once you do this, these cells will be unlocked when you lock/protect the worksheet.
