Projected Date vs Actual Date

0

I have a production schedule I use that has a start date column and an projected completion date coulumn that is autofilled with a workday formula.

The actual completed date is not always the projected date.
Is there a way that I can have the projected date be formulated in light gray and then override it with the actual completed date in black when its done?

This can be done using conditional formatting.

  1. Set the font colour for the projected date as blank (meaning normal)
  2. Set conditional formatting for the projected date cell to change to gray if the actual completion date cell is blank.

Presuming that the projected date cell is C3 and the actual completion date cell is D3, the formula for the conditional format should be

=$D3=""
