How will excel know if time is already an overtime. Please see example below:

TIME IN TIME OUT         REG HRS WORKED           OT HRS WORKED

8:00    9:00                             1:00                                          0:00

9:00  9:50                             0:50                                          0:00

9:50  12:00                           2:10                                          0:00

1:00  4:30                             3:30                                          0:00

4:30         6:30                             0:30                                          1:30

Often, I find it easier to work with decimal rather than time....so I divide minutes by 60 and 15 minutes = .25; 30 min = .5; 45 min = .75.  Also using military time makes calculations easier 1:00 am = 1.0, 1:00 pm = 13.0 (add 12 hours to pm hours except 12 pm).  At the bottom of your day have an IF  formula (=if(sum(    )>40),sum(  )-40,Sum(  )) to get OT hours. (fill in the sum range of cells between the parenthesis)
