Using if formula

0

please help I need a formula to give me the days between 10 dates in a colum and today's date which I have at the top of a seperate colum. There is only one cell that contains today's date however there are multiple dates it needs to be matched up against . I seemed to get the answer I'm after but in the colum with variable dates there are cells that don't have dates and the cell beside those empty cells come up with the #value! Error. If I could insert photos or would be much easier to explain sorry in advance

in the colum under today's date I have gotten the value of days in after but in the blank cells it says #value error .

I would use Datedif function (it's an old Excel function, best to google it)... but I would combine that with ABSOLUTE CELL Reference to anchor down part of the formula...see attached.  Good luck!

Hi there!

It looks like you need to use an absolute cell reference for the date that you will compare all the other dates to.

If the cell with todays date is cell A1, then input it into the formula like this: $A$1

The dollar signs make it an absolute reference so it won't change when you copy the formula down.
