Auto Populate same field on different tabs within excel spreadsheet

0

Hi,

I have an excel spreadsheet containing 7 tabs.

On tab 1, information will be populated by the user. However, for the subsquent tabs, similar information is also required on the first tabs. Is it possble that, if the information is entered in the first tab, the subsequent tabs can be auto-populated?

I.e. Tab 1: Username, Full Name, Email Address (completed by user), Start Date, Active Status

Tab 2: Username, Full Name, x, x, x,

Tab 3: Username, Full Name, x, x, x

Is it feasible that if the Username is populated in Tab 2/3, the Full Name is auto-populated using the information provided in the first tab?

Thanks!

Why not just have formulas that point to the cells in the first tab?

Can that be done only where specific answers are Y?
Do you know what this formula would look like?

"Can that be done only where specific answers are Y?" Not sure what you mean by this.

"Do you know what this formula would look like?"

It could be a simple as =Tab1!A1.
