Are you starting it from scratch? How will you update the system - by hand or using some other software?

I can could give you a small template to get you started but, to be honest, Excel is not the most reliable inventory system if you are dealing with large, or simply important, quantities.

Attached is a simple way to do it.

Use Filters or PivotTables to sort through the data.

I would start wil Filters to get what you want first.

Thats how you would store the data. Are you saying that you want a different way to retrieve the results instead of using something like a filter? As in, you are trying to build another worksheet that shows only the result for the given criteria? You gotta be more specific. Your other question also is not specific enough to help. There needs to be a sample file and, from that it will be easier to help you create the formulas or other methods to get the results. So, if you are using your own template, just upload that to the other question you asked, along with an example of the output you want, and I should get a notice that you made an update and can take a look at it.
