automate undertime computation from door systems using macros

0

hi,

may i ask for assistance creating a macro that will automate/compute the total undertime from a series of door In's and Out's with a respective time-range only? this won't include breaks.

e.g.

earlier than 9am - (doesn't care)

9:00am-11:00am - monitored time (IN's and OUT's in door system) RFID card

11:00am-11:15am - 15mins break (doesn't care)

11:15am - 1:00pm - monitored time (IN's and OUT's in door system) RFID card

1:00pm-2:00pm - lunch (doesn't care)

2:00pm - 4:00pm - monitored time (IN's and OUT's in door system) RFID card

4:00pm-4:15pm - 15mins break (doesn't care)

4:15pm - 6:00pm - monitored time (IN's and OUT's in door system) RFID card

after 6pm - (doesn't care)

attached is a sample data format from our door systems.

can i instead highlight the cell range and apply a macro to sum up the total undertime?

thanks!

Josh

Can you edit your question and include a sample spreadsheet? It will be much easier to understand the setup of the sample data that way.

hi Don,

meaning, we are only after the "monitored" time range to automate computation of door IN's/OUT's timing so we could total their undertime. our HR staff is currently doing a manual computation for each employee which consumes a lot of her time.

Thanks,
Josh
