Excel Magic Trick 297.5: Conditional Sum for Varying Columns


Learn with formula is best from amongst five different formulas for conditionally summing from varying columns:
1.OFFSET formula
2.INDIRECT formula
3.SUMPRODUCT with multiplication and different sized ranges
4.SUMPRODUCT and INDEX function
5.SUMIFS and INDEX function.
We will see that the versions that use INDIRECT with a zero in the row_num are fastest in calculating.
