How to use one or more checkboxes in Excel to show a button – this works great for form submissions, checking a box to agree to terms before you can do something, verifying line items in a bill before you email it from Excel, and so much more.
The core idea shown in this tutorial is how to link the display of a button with the checking of one or more checkboxes. This is a form of data validation, because you want the user to validate or perform an action before they can do something else, click a button in this case.
I show you how to do this for the situation in the tutorial but also your own workbook, with one or more checkboxes, and the patterns that we use are very easy to copy.
This Excel tutorial is great for anyone at every level – I promise you will be able to follow along!
Note: if you don't see the checkbox feature in Excel, make sure you update your version to the latest available version of Excel.
