Format a Date to Show Only the Day of Week in Excel
How to format a Date so that only the day of the week is visible from that date.
Result:
Steps
- Right-click the desired cell and click Format Cells
- Go to the Number tab and click the Custom category
- Under where it says Type: you need to enter dddd for the full version of the day of the week or ddd for the abbreviated version.
Under where it says Sample you will see the result. - Hit OK and that's it.
