whats going wrong?

Greetings. I'm running XP home service pack 3, and decided to do a fresh reinstall a few months ago to tidy up. That was the theory anyway. Now I get blue screens popping up about 3 to 4 times a week. I've saved a log of them which I'm posting below. Can anyone decipher them? I've never had blue screen issues until I reinstalled, and have no new hardware. Thanks you for any help : )

My computer has been rebooting randomly in xp. Happens in the middle
of working or during a virus scan or idle... for about 4 months now,
it is a custom built late last year. Most of the time it will state a
serious error when windows is done loading after the crash.

i feared it was the ram and had that shipped and replaced back in
April (had the RAM checked to work with the motherboard before
purchase), and then I replaced the power supply with the latest
(mentioned below). The previous was 400 watts a generic brand. I
thought it might be the heat and swapped the cpu fan, but temperatures
are under 40 C.

I am wondering if this could be a hard drive issue, having maybe a
conflict with an IDE drive and two SATAs. I have had the IDE for
quiet some time now and needed additional space so I bought an
additional SATA in March, crashing didn't start happening for at least
a month later.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

ATI SAPPHIRE X1600 PRO 256M
Corsair 2x1gb (2gb of ram that is at 6400)
gigabyte DS3
Ultra / X-Finity / 600-Watt / ATX
with 2 sata drives and an ide drive with an sata converter.

here is a collection of some of the system errors reported:

anyone who know this?

OS: XP media edition SP3

I have not installed any hardware, but have begun experiencing the maddening "blue screen of death" restarts. I am unable to correlate the beginning of the problem with any event (software installation or otherwise). I have attached today's minidump or dmp file in the form of a TXT file. Sample error messages are provided below.

Questions:

1. Can anyone tell me what the various codes mean? For example, what does BCCode mean?

2. From either the dmp file or sample error messages, can anyone advise me where to look to solve my problem?

Thank you,

PGHMIKE

My PC just started crashing intermittently about three weeks ago. It's only happened three times. There were two weeks between the first and second crash. Then about five days between the last one and the one I encountered today. I wasn't doing anything that would've caused the shut downs either. Just normal day-to-day stuff.

Here are the codes in order of occurrence:

Here is the stop message for the last one I encountered (I didn't have automatic restart disabled before the other two):
Bad_POOL_CALLER
stop: 0x000000c2 (0x00000007, 0x00000c3E, 0x02060001, 0x884AFFDA)

Here's what I've done.
- scanned for infections using ESET AV.
- deleted my minidump files
- used BurnInTest to run tests on my CPU, HD, and RAM. All tests passed.
- my cpu temp hovers around 32C and my MB at around 28C

Can anyone tell from looking at this information what might be causing my system to crash?

Thanks in advance,

Chuck

Hi all.

I was using my PC as normal the other day when it suddenly restarted out of the blue. Before windows the message came up about which method to start with, ie. Safe mode, Last Known good config, normally etc. I chose Last Known Good configuration and all seemed well, though I got an error msg when I got into the desktop that the system had recovered from a serious error, with the following error log:

BCCode : 50 BCP1 : FEF5260C BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

However perhaps 10 minutes later the PC restarted again unexpectedly, I chose the same option again, and got the same error msg when I got into desktop, however this time with a slightly different error log:

BCCode : 1000000a BCP1 : C0009A0C BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000001
BCP4 : 80509800 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

Now I was getting worried, and soon after, IIRC faster than before, it restarted yet again, however by this time I was late to work so I just turned off the PC before I could choose which option to load windows in.

When I tried to run it later and ever since, it will get as far as the screen where you choose how to load windows, however that's it. None of the 5 options will work; the screen goes black and the PC restarts, even when I try Safe mode (however a few lines of file names appear before it restarts), it does not get as far as showing the XP load screen.

The computer is not and never has been connected to the internet, and I did not install any new hardware before the restarts happened.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

i put a new Video card (Nvidia Geforce 9 series) in and updated my drivers but now i seem to get crashes, usually happens when i use facebook or sometimes when i play a Flash game.

My system specs a
Windows XP x64 service pack 2
AMD athlon dual core 5200+ 2.6 GHZ
Nvidia 260 gtx
4 GB ram
nforce 570 SLI motherboard

I assumed that it was a glitch and that it would probably be endless so i just clicked dont send after these five. but it ended after about five more reports for a total of ten

Im not sure what is causing this but my computer shut off for no apparent reason the other day and my fiance was unable to turn it or my monitor back on. My only guess is that the power bar was going although i could get the computer to run on it at a later time. I have now changed the power bar to a high quality(I think) monster power brand bar and its running fine for now.

I should also add on startup since the abrupt shutdown it always says "cmos checksum error" and i am required to press F1 to continue.

Let me know what to do thanks!!
