Hi,

Please can you help me with the following...

I have searched the forum to look for a solution but it appears to be specific to machine therefore...

I just formatted and re-installed xp pro, but in device manager 3 items are listed as having no drivers...

1) Coprocessor
Hardware id's are
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0753&SUBSYS_82E21043&REV_A2
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0753&SUBSYS_82E21043
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0753&CC_0B4000
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0753&CC_0B40

2) Ethernet Controller
Hardware id's are
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0753&SUBSYS_82E21043&REV_A2
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0753&SUBSYS_82E21043
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0753&CC_0B4000
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0753&CC_0B40

3)SMBus Controller
Hardware id's are
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0752&SUBSYS_82E21043&REV_A1
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0753&SUBSYS_82E21043
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0752&CC_0C0500
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0752&CC_0C05

To be honest this is way beyond me, but the above was required info by a previous forum contributor who helped a guy in a similar situation, so here's hoping. Please don't assume that I will know how to install the drivers when I get them if there's any requirement beyond the obvious.

Many thanks in anticipation.

I had to do a clean install on my eMachine Model T3418. Installed IE8sp3 and all updates. I have tried to connect to our network router, the light is on when I plug into the network port but no connection gets established. Currently using WiFi to connect to internet. My Device Manager is showing yellow question marks for all of the above listed components.
1. PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_02698SUBSYS_60061509&REV_A1\3&2411E6FF&0&AD
2. PCI\VEN_14F1&DEV_2F20&SUBSYS_200114F1&REV_00\48DC268A3&0&3880
3. PCI_VEN_10E&DEV_0264&SUBSYS_60061509&REV_A2\3&2411E6FE&0&51

I know the last is an nVidia driver. I found a software program called Driver Finder that identifies my drivers and will give me the drivers to update and download but not how to do it. Can anyone please help?

Internet will not work - yellow ? Marks in device manager - help!
Hello, recently we purchased a laptop and gave our desktop to my boyfriend's parents. We had it wiped by geek squad, and I installed the operating system with the cd that came with the computer. It is a Medion (german brand), I would guess 5 years old. It does have Windows XP. I am not sure what other info you may need to help me, and I don't have specific model numbers - I will go over there tonight and post them - but if I remember correctly, it is a Medion M3 Composer.
They had cable internet hooked up yesterday, but it will not connect. The technician plugged his laptop into the Medion tower and showed Roger that the internet is working. The tech opened the device manager and showed him a bunch of yellow question marks, and said it won't work until they are fixed, but he didn't know how. I went over and tried to figure it out - the following had yellow ? marks
* SM BUS CONTROLLER
*PCI DEVICE
*PCI SIMPLE COMMUNICATIONS CONTROLLER
*ETHERNET CONTROLLER
*VIDEO CONTROLLER
*VIDEO CONTROLLER (VGA COMPATIBLE)
I tried to install the hardware, but it was asking me for a Cd or floppy disk. I am seriously lost, and would love to fix the problem for them so they can spare the expense of a trip to the Geek Squad people. Is this my fault? Did I do something wrong during installation? I did google these problems, the advice I found was to download updates onto their computer...but I cannot connect to the internet in order to download the updates...
Please help! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!

I re-installed Windows XP Professional but did not check to make sure that I had a copy of all my drivers prior to the re-install. Everything appears to work okay except I cannot get connected to the Internet. The computer was made for me several years ago. My system information is:
System Manufacturer: NVIDIA
System Model: AWRDACPI
BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.ooPG
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm)64X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+,MMX, 3DNow(2 CPUs)
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.000.0904)

I ran the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and found:
DirexX Files: No problems found
Display: No problems found all tests succesful
Sound: No sound card was found- device or drivers found

When looking at my device manager I found problems with:
PCI Device
PCI\VIN_10DE&DEV_0371&SUBSYS_A0021458&REV_A2\3&2411E6FE&0&71

Other PCI Bridge device
PCI\VIN_10DE&DEV_0373&SUBSYS_E0001458&REV_A2\3&2411E6FE&0&88

Other PCI Bridge Device
PCI\VIN_10DE&DEV_0373&SUBSYS_E0001458&REV_A2\3&2411E6FE&0&80

SM Bus Controller
PCI\VEN_10de&DEV_0368&SUBSYS_0C111458&REV_A2/3&2411E6FE&0&49

When I go to Network Connections if shows 1394 Connection.

I have a Cable moden: CISCO DPC3010 and Netgear router WNR834B v2

I have another desktop that I want to replace with with the computer that I re-installed windows XP on. The current desktop is connected to the Internet as well as other devices using wireless. The desktop that I re-installed XP on the Internet worked prior to the install.

Any suggestions?

Everytime I start windows, I get a "Found New Hardware" PCI device. I cannot install automatically because it cannot find the software. My USB peripherals wont show up although my ps2 and sound ports are all fine. I forgot how this began it was quite a few months ago and after holiday I just forgot about it, anyway my stats a

XP pro ,SP 3, 2.4ghz quad core 2gb ram

In Device Manager I get 2 exclamation marks for "other" devices:

PCI device= PCI Slot 7 (PCI bus 2, device 0, function 0) This device is not configured correctly.
Device instance ld: PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2360&SUBSYS_8208104&REV_02\4&286339C6&0&0038

and

Unknown device=on PCI bus, Drivers not installed
Device Instance ld=ACPI\ATK0110\1010110

In "usb" I do not get exclamation marks, however I know they arent working because my mp3 player is not being picked up or any other peripheral I plug in:

Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller:
Location:PCI bus 0, device 11, function 1
Device is working properly (yeah right!)
Device Instance Ld:PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_026E&SUBSYS_81BC104&REV_A3\3&2411E6FE&0&59

There's also a "standardOpenHCD USB Host Controller" and 2 "USB Root Hub"

for more info just ask me. Thank you so much in advance .

Hello, I recently deleted everything off my dell laptop and reinstalled xp and all the drivers I have. After doing this I couldnt connect to the internet so I tried searching for an answer online with my in-laws computer. I downloaded the chipset drivers from dell and router drivers from netgear but it still doesnt work. In device manager and other devices, which has a yellow question mark, I have BCM2045, Ethernet controller, Network controller, PCI Device, and Video controller (VGA compatible) that all have a yellow question mark and exclamation mark beside them. In network connections I only have 1394 Connection. Please let me know what else I need to do and I'll give you any more info that you need. THANKS!!

Hi guys! I NEED YOUR HELP, PLEASE!!!!
I have a DELL INSPIRON 9300 running XP. Since I was having a lot a problems with pup ups in Internet, this morning I decided to re-instal WIN XP but I deleted the partition where DRIVE C: was. Stupid! I was able to load Xp in a different PARTITION but now THE PROBLEM IS that now I can not connect to Iternet. I have a wireless router in home. WheN I go to DEVICE MANAGER/OTHER DEVICES there is a YELLOW ?! and below I can see a list of devices that are not working, also showing the yellow ?!. The DEVICES listed a ETHERNET CONTROLER, MULTIMEDIA AUTO CONTROLLER, NETWORK CONTROLLER, PCI DEVICE, PCI MODEM, SM BUS CONTROLLER,USB DEVICE, VIDEO CONTROLLER (VGA COMPATIBLE).
Please help me to restore my Laptop. I got this PC second hand I do'nt have a CD for this.
PLEASE HELP ME... PLLLEASE
THANKS!!!!

I have a Windows XP and I did a fresh re-install, but came up with a couple problems.

Firstly, everything is HUGE. Like the Start menu when opened takes up about half the screen. Secondly, the internet isn't working and isn't letting me connect. Third, I noticed that some Drivers are missing in the Device Manager.

Ethernet Controller
Multimedia Audio Controller
PCI Modem
Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

All have yellow question marks and exclamation points by them.

Please help. And thanks even if you can't.

I'm not really good with computers so I depreciate the help. Thanks again.

Also, I don't have the disk the comes with the drivers :(

I was recently given a PC by a friend who has upgraded to a new one. It is a fairly decent spec - P3Ghz, 248MB RAM (will upgrade this), 80GB HDD. The machine is running Windows XP.

It is an eMachines E4026 tower unit, and came as the base unit only.

It had been previously used by her children so I chose to rebuild XP from scratch using a disc that came with my laptop.

Everything appears fine until I try to connect to the internet, there is no connection. I am using the LAN connection and hard wiring this to my wireless router, which works with another PC.

When I go into My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager there are yellow question marks against the following:

Ethernet Controller
PCI Device
PCI Simple Communications Controller
Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

As I don't have the driver CD, how can I find these drivers? I can of course connect to the internet from my laptop but not from the PC.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks for reading!

My old desktop has been running slow for along time so i thought i would completely wipe it and reinstall windows xp on it. It made the computer alot faster but i can't connect to the internet. Im not very good with computers but when I go to the device manager it says that both the Ethernet Controller and the Multimedia Audio Controller are missing, they have yellow question marks beside them. Does anyone know how I could get my internet working? If it helps I have a 1394 Net Adapter Im not sure if that helps at all.

I am giving my old Dell Inspiron 8600 to a friend so I wiped the hard drive and reinstalled windows XP...I have a utilities and drivers disc and the OS reinstallation CD so I thought I was good to go...nope...now under device manager I have the following missing items

Ethernet Controller

Multimedia Audio controller

Network controller

PCI Modem

Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller

Video Controller (VGA) compatible

They all have nice big yellow question marks after them...I have downloaded and extracted all the drivers from the CD that had 8600 in them and still no go......without these items I obviously can't get on the Internet.....I have already tried deleting the yellow question marks...restarting and having find new hardware look for me....they are missing in action....I need a step by step explanation on how to do this....going online is not an option as these missing components prevent that...also I know these are just generic descriptions of said components so I need the name of them to find the drivers....

Luckily I have another laptop that I am writing this on...is it possible to burn these drivers to a cd/dvd....I know they usually come in zip format how do I deal with that....I am not a novice but I am not a computer genius either so I really need help ....please..please...please... Thanks in advance

I am having trouble locating drivers for a HP Pavilion 510a. Looks like the previous owner did a fresh install of WinXP Pro but did not update all of the drivers. I am unable to connect to the internet and the Device Manager shows exclamation marks next to the following:

Ethernet Controller
Multimedia Audio Controller
Video Controller

I am also receiving a message about the PCI Simple Communications Controller - does this relate to one of the above or is this a separate issue?
Any advice would be very much appreciated!

My computer is staring in black screen where it gives you options to start windows normally or in safe mode. I looked in device manger and it shows yellow ? marks under other devices next to coprocessor, other PCI bridge device, SMBUS controller, and video controller. How do I fix these?
