Hi everyone, would appreciate if someone can point out to me how to do this simple thing.
I don't know how to word it properly, but I remember Excel can take a row of cells and just fix them, such that when you scroll up or down, that row of cells will always stay at the top, sort of like a heading (if that's the right word).
How would I go about doing this? Oh and I am using MS Excel 2000.

I have just changed laptops and now excel shows its cell references as R1C1
for cell A1 how do i make it use letters for collumns?

I built some applications using Excel with Userforms containig Web Components like Spreadsheet 11.0 and Chartspace 11.0 with Excel 2007, and installed OWC11. Recently I started to use a new computer, freshly installed Office 2007 Enterprise. After installing the OWC11, I was bedly hit, then the applications running well in the same environment on other machines are causing ClassFactory error 80040111. After many attempts trying uninstalling and reinstalling the OWC11 without any success, I tried to build a new application, containing an userform. In order to be able to add the above mentioned two component, I added them to the Toolbox. But... I could put the chartspace on the form, but attempting do the same with the Spreadsheet control caused error ClassFactory cannot serve the required class (this is a translation of the error message, may be the original english is somewhat different). What can be the cause of the problem resulting in that some parts of the same dll are operating fine, but some of them are causing error?
Can anybody help me to work around this problem?
For example, if your emailing someone a spreadsheet and you dont want them to change anything on it, how do you block or prevent the user from making changes to the document. On Microsoft Excel.

I don't have Excel and eventually found Excel Viewer 2003. This took 45 mins
to download, and then didn't work. The Excel File Graphic had appeared atop
the quotation file - but when clicked on Excel Viewer 2003 opened and just
said: cannot open this file type.
Any ideas? Would appreciate solution. Running XP SP2 on a Dimension 8250..

Hi, may i know is there any setting has to be enabled when i run my 2007 excel file (hello.xls) on 2010 excel?
The macro in this file can run smoothly when i open it with microsoft excel 2007. Yet, when i tried to open my file with microsoft excel 2010, an error msg state that my file is not being supported my microsoft excel 2010.

I have a bunch of text in my worksheet. I use Alt + Enter to break lines of text within a cell, but its still alot of text in some cells, and some others are blank.
I would the formatting functionality of Word, which can change individual cell widths and heights, and even add a table into one cell. What should I do? Are there any add-ons?

I know that one can import data from Excel to Access and link to tables etc but what I want to know is - is there a way of linking to individual cells in Excel from Access like one can get data from one cell in one spreadsheet and show it in another spreadsheet - can one do the same in Access
I have spreadsheets given to me and they contain logos etc at the top and there are three cells towards the middle and the data that follows that I want to link to in Access.
Am using both MS Access 2007 and MS Excel 2007.
