How can I link a cell from one spreadsheet to another spreadsheet?
Hi,
I am a novice at excel even though I've used it for years. I want to be able to take the results of a formula or just the value from a cell and have it automatically put in the cell of my choice in a different sheet of the same file. For instance, i want the value from A1 sheet 1 to also appear in cell B6 of sheet 2.
Also, Is it possible to make the value of a cell appear in a cell of another excel file? Thanks!

I am trying to link cells containing more than just data between worksheets, and after about an hour of trying to copy and past or find a formula and googling for help I've about given up. The workbook is in excel 2007.
-i have two sets of sheets, one set contains models organized by retailer, and the other is composed of retailers organized by model.
-each slide has a photo of the product (garden tools in case you are wondering) and the model name written in it. (its more of a visual presentation than analysis)
-I would like to make it so that if I change the text in models organized by retailer, the same slide in retailers organized by model also changes.

I have text data in a column in a worksheet (which can sometimes be more than 255 characters). I want anything that shows up in this column to show up in another column in another worksheet within the same workbook, BUT I would like for all blank cells to be removed when it goes over to the other column. Any ideas?

I have a summary worksheet. On this worksheet I have relocations and
startups. I will have two other worksheets one for start ups and one for
relocations. I want to add new projects to either the relo or start up
sheets and I want it to go automatically to the summary page. Can anyone

I have an index page which links to other worksheets in the workbook. When I am working in one worksheet and need to look in another worksheet, I have to scroll all the way to the left to get to the index page or find the worksheet I need.
I was hoping someone may know how to create a toolbar of all the worksheets in the workbook so I can go to the worksheet faster.

i'm trying to set up a weekly workbook. each day of the week has it's own
tab. trying to get the dates to correspond to each other. can i set up a
formula that does this? can excel reset the dates for each week? if i had 4
different workbooks, representing 4 weeks, do i have to manually enter the
date for each day? don't know much about this stuff.
