If I know headcount will increase by x% a year, how can I calculate the value at each quarter?
I have found that a 15% annual increase equates to a 3.55% quarterly increase.
I can say =D2*1.03555 and get the increase, but I found the 3.55 number by trial and error, and I'm hoping to find a formulaic way to do it.
Thank you for reading!
hi just wondering if someone could help?
example todays cost £100 + 5% = £105 + 5% = £110.25 + 5% = £115.76 + 5% =
121.55 and so on is there a formula for doing the above in one cell?
any help appeciated

I wish I could post an attachment.
If the "% of Savings" is below 30% and "Profit" is above $0 then how do I get the "% of Savings" to adjust itself up as much as the dollar amount in "Profit" will allow?
A1, Retail, A2, $746.92
B1, Yearly, B2, $180.00
C1, Purchases, C2, $448.15
D1, %, D2, =C2/A2, (60%)
E1, Profit, E2, $265.15
F1, Total, F2, =B2+C2, ($628.15)
G1, % of Savings, G2, =100%-(F2/A2), (0.159013013)
Thanks,
Hope this makes sense.

How do i increase the value of a cell by a percentage and keep it in the
existing cell. I have a spreadsheet that has payment values in for customers.
I want to increase this amount by .08%. I have a mailmerge that creates

Hi,
I'm kinda new to Excel and am having a little trouble with a command button. Basically I have a range of data (all numeric) in cells I6-I150, and I also have a command button that when clicked brings up an input box. What I want is for the user to be able to enter a number in the box, that will then add that no. of percent to the data in that cell range.
For example, if the user enters '5' then the cells in the range I6-I150 will all be increased by 5%.
Can anyone help, I've been trying different things for ages!
Many thanks
AshM
Ok, I'm in panic mode and can't think straight. PLEASE HELP!!! So simple, but I'm not getting what I want. All I need is a formula to show a percentage increase/decrease from two numbers. Example:
A1 = 57781
B1 = 62803
I've formatted the cells to "Percentage", but I'm getting 869%. I want it to show an increase of 9%.
