Happy new year to everyone!

Hi Everyone,
Is there a formula in Excel that can easily find the "normal approximation to the binomial distribution"?
I currently have the formula =BINOMDIST(5,10,0.01,FALSE) to get the binomial distribution.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. I am looking for a way to perform a "log rank test" in Excel and get an according p-value. My sheet is set up so that I have a column for the time, or period, and then for each of two groups I have a column with the the number of events that have occurred in that group at that time. Is there a way to compare these survival curves using the log rank test in Excel? Thank you very much.
Hello everyone:
I have been asked to help work on a project involving achievement test
results. I would need to find a relatively painless way of inserting the
data and then comparing results over a period of eight years. Each section
of the achievement test has a raw score, a scaled score, a graded equivalent
and a percentile based on the section of the population taking the test.
There are five sections in total, one of which will only be taken by the
first level. How would I go about doing this? How could I then look at
specific characteristics of each student and see how that affects the data?
This is a little beyond my ability with excel but I said that I would give it
a shot.
I need to state a null hypothesis for the regression analysis I just performed in Microsoft Excel. The Significance F number is greater than 0.05, so that means that the null hypothesis is accepted. My instructor uses this format for the null hypothesis:
H0: y is not linearly dependent on x, and the slope of the line (y = bx + a), b = 0.
However, the equation for the regression line I came up with is y = 16.75x + 710.5.
So isn't b actually 16.75? If that is the case, then how do I state the null hypothesis?
Performing hypothesis testing on data comprising of hours devoted to patient care per week for practitioners in conventional and alternative medical practices. I have used data analysis -> z-test-two sample for means to perform my calculations.
I would like to know if this is the correct way to perform the hypothesis calculation.

I am unable to figure out how you can do hypothesis testing if you only know population mean, claim, and sample size. Can someone help me please?
Question:
Recall that “very satisfied” customers give the XYZ-Box video game system a rating that is at least 42. Suppose that the manufacturer of the XYZ-Box wishes the use the random sample of 65 satisfaction ratings to provide evidence supporting the claim that the mean composite satisfaction rating for the XYZ-Box exceeds 42.
Set up the null and alternative hypotheses needed if we wish to attempt to provide evidence supporting the claim that the mean exceeds 42.
Hello!
So I'm trying to work on this test score report and I can't seem to figure out how to do the following:
- Currently I'm pulling test scores, but I'm getting only the highest scores for each section. What's I'm trying to pull are the sections scores from the test with the highest overall score. Several students have taken the PSATs more than once and I would like the scores from just one test date.
I was thinking of using INDEX(MATCH(MAX), but I couldn't get anything to work.
I've attached the spreadsheet I've been working on in hopes that maybe someone knows how I can do this. I know it might be a bit confusing, but I think seeing the workbook might help.
Thanks!
