Excel 2010 Preview #8: Five New T Distribution Functions that Replace TINV & TDIST
Video | Similar Helpful Excel Resources
T.INV, T.INV.2T, T.DIST, T.DIST.RT, T.DIST.2T replace the old T functions: TINV, TDIST. The old T functions only did upper tails and were not similar to other Distribution functions. The new T functions allow us to do upper tail or lower tail and they do negative infinity to the t value as well as allow us the cumulative probability function and the density function that can determine height of T-distribution Curve.

I have an xls file. I open up in Excel 2007, the print preview looks fine: margin looks right
But when I open the same file in Excel 2010, the print preview doesn't look right.
It's like everything gets shifted to the left and has the wide margin on the right hand side.
Anybody knows what's causing the problem in 2010?
Thanks in advance.
I am having a problem with the new version of Excel 2010. These documents will show up correctly, then when viewed in the print preview window be wrong. I have re-opened these files in older versions ( Excel 2007 and Excel 2003) and they display correctly and print correctly. In the new version of excel the text in the "Combo Boxes" are changing font size upon printing. This even holds true for the print preview window. I have also tried this on another computer which has Excel 2010 and I have the same problem. Here are some links to view the problem I've been having. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Thank u
I posted this in the Windows 7 forums, but have not seen anything in 10 hours. Please forgive the double post, but I need to find out what the heck is happening-
I just opened an Office 2007 Excel project in 2010 which contains significant VBA. The compiler is puking at the Left function - Compile error - Can't find object or library
I have tried retyping the line and also tried using the Right function, just to see what happened - and that was not accepted either!
Earlier the compiler rejected the Ltrim function also.
ANY ideas?
REAL worried at what else I am now going to run into, now that I "upgraded"...
Great thanks for your thoughts, I have a feeling I am going to have many more questions due to the nature of the problems and upgrading...
And where the heck did my line and position numbers/indicator go in the 2010 VBE????
Hi
Just wondering how man nested IF functions excel 2010 can handle in one cell.
Doug
If I have two random data sets of equal size (same number of elements) such as set X = (4,7,2,6,...) and set Y = (5,9,3,5,...) is there a way to use excel to find a transfer function between Y and X such that H(x)X(x) = Y(x)? In this case H(x) would be the transfer function which when multiplied by X(x) always produces Y(x) (i.e. X(1)H(1) = Y(1) = 5).
I know I could probably do this with MATLAB or some equivalent software, but I would ultimately have to port the transfer function over to Excel for my application thus it would be nice if I could just do this in Excel.

Hi, all
Can you please tell me the simplest way to solve my challenge:
I have 2 sheets (let say named "OLD", "NEW", Excel 2010) in following format (both are same):
Col.1 Col.2 Col.3
ID Description Price
I want to replace Column 3 (Price) value from "NEW" to Column 3 in "OLD".
I can not use sorting, because "OLD" is structured in a bit different way (has extra rows, such as explanations, additional information, etc).
So order of rows in NEW is different than in OLD. For example row 1 in OLD may be row 425 in NEW. Basiclly it is to match ID, which i same in OLD and NEW and then write corresponding Price value from NEW to OLD. What is the simplest way to do it?
Can it be done with array of inbuilt functions or macro is needed?
Thank you in advance. Marko
I have a problem in which I must select a range and do a find and replace on the formula string ONLY, not the cell value. I am using Excel 2010 on a XP machine.
As an example:
Quote:
A B C
1 a1 a1
2
3 99
Cell A1 is the value 'A1', C1 is a formula '=A1', A3 is a value '99'.
What I want to do is select the range A1 thru C3, run a FIND & REPLACE (or equivelant), and in the box replace '1' with '3', thereby making the formula in C3 '=A3' and changing it's value as well but leaving the cell value in A1 alone.
So that afterwards it would look like this.
Quote:
A B C
1 a1 99
2
3 99
Find and replace claims to look at formulas but it also looks at cells without formulas as well.
Is there any solution to this?
I need to write Macro for this. Column 1 has the original values and Column 2 has the values that should be replaced in Column 1.
Column1 Column2
ABC | QWE
qqq | ASH
ERTR | PRR
qqq | DIA
Find for "qqq" in each row and replace with corresponding column 2 value.
After replacement it should look like:
Column1
ABC
ASH
ERTR
DIA
I have written a simple macro for each and every row. But I need to do this using loop for the entire Sheet so that I don't keep on writing for every row individually. I'm new to this and not sure of how to write a macro for this.
Any help would be great.
