I am looking for code to put into VBA in Excel that will capture a screen (the application I will want to capture is an Attachmate EXTRA! session) and paste the image into Excel (replicating the manual process of Alt PrtScrn and Paste). This code will be a small part of a much larger macro that I am developing.
I have unsuccessfully searched for this subject many times with Google. I found something that does a screen capture (using API - with which I am completely unfamiliar), but I could not figure out how to modify the code to do the screen capture on the application of my choosing, and then paste that screen print in Excel (with no user interaction).

Well, I've tried to use the HTML utilities to do this but can't figure them out. Tried copying a picture. That doesn't work. I have about a hlaf hour into this and am down to my last three hairs but still can't figure it out. Time to ask for help. How can I get my spreadsheet pasting into my post?

I have Excel 2000. I used to be able to capture a screen shot on my laptop by using a combination of holding down the 'Fn' key and then press 'PrtSc' key on my keyboard to capture a screen shot and then do a 'Ctrl V' (paste the screen shot) in to my Excel worksheet. From there in the Excel, I would crop the picture and have it as part of my documentation process.
Now, it is no longer working. I am going through the same process of copy/paste the screen shot, but when I did the 'Ctrl V' step, I got the error message saying 'microsoft excel cannot paste the data'. I even re-installed Office 2000 in hoping that it would restore this copy/paste screen shot process to work again for me, but it is not.
Do you have any advice as to why this is no longer working?

I am trying to create a new PPT presentation and I need to be able to insert several excel spreadsheets, however, they need to be adjustable without losing the formatting.
If you have an answer to this - I also need to do the same with some PPT slides, basically inserting several on one page in smaller formats...PLEASE HELP!

i feel like in idiot ...i need to take a screen shot and put it in an email as a hyperlink... i know how to create the hyperlink...
cannot for the life of me remember how to take a screen shot in excel and insert the image into and outlook email...
using office 2007 if that makes a differance
Well, this is my first time Posting on the Access forum. I am sure that I am going to be on here a lot looking for help with the project that I am working on.
To give a little background information: I am creating a Database for a Used Vehicle Department at the dealership that I work for. My need for it grew out of the fact that I buy and sell vehicles from and to the USA (I am based in Canada). For each vehicle there are many different things that need to be captured. At this point I have 25+ tables broken down into separate subjects.
The first thing that I think will make things easier is if there is some way to do screen shots in Access. It would help me explain and ask questions. I have completed many of the relationships that I might need between these tables but I would like to take a screen shot to see if there is anyone has input on what I have before I move on to building forms/queries etc. I think it will be best to get this part figured out before forging ahead.

Hi All.
I have been fiddling with Excel, trying to select a range, then save a pic of it as a .gif file. I read Excel's own help files regarding holding shift down, then edit-copy picture, but that seems to only create a .clp file, which I in turn can't save as a workable .gif. Any ideas?

I have downloaded the HTML player from the necessary site but am not sure what i am supposed to do after this ?
When i open the download is some thign supposed to happen ?
I have read the instructions regarding Add ins etc but am as usual with me and excel having no luck
