Hi,
I'm using Excel 2007 for quarterly reconciliations. Each sheet contains a quarterly reconciliation. Whenever I password protect a sheet within a workbook, it prevents me from changing data to the protected sheet. However, it does not prevent me from deleting the sheet.
How can I protect a sheet, and still prevent the sheet from being deleted?
Thanks for your help,
Paul
The protection menu has changed and I cannot protect just a worksheet. Only
"Protect Workbook" and "Protect and Share Workbook" options are available.
I am sending spreadsheets to collegues to add info and I want to give them the ability to hide columns in a protected sheet. Any ideas?
The cells they manipulate are interactive, but the sheets are protected.
Thanks.

Is it posiible to protectan Excell file from being saved by assigning a password?
I know how to password protect a file but this does not protect against the file being saved as a bew file name.
I want to protect some cells in a sheet so that I can just select and
blank the whole sheet while keeping the formulas in some cells intact.
The problem is that, having unlocked the editable cells and protected
the worksheet, when I then select the entire sheet it won't let me just
blank the unlocked cells - it tells me that some cells are protected.
Can anyone please help.
Morning All,
I have a large workbook with lots of spreadsheets, currently each individual sheet is protected as certain cells are locked on each sheet. Rather than having everysingle sheet protected is there a way to lock and protect them all at once?
Thanks
