I'm trying to create a Pivot Table Chart comparing 30 Salesmen Month's Contacts and have 2 problems which are probably elementary.
1)The Titles on the Bottom are ILLEGIBLE because they BLEND in one with the Other! I tried unsuccessfully to have it printed Vertically Hoping that THAT would help make it viewable but I can't figure it out.
2) I would like to have for each Salesman 2 Columns. One Showing Total (count) contacts and the other adjacently, showing LOCAL (count) contacts (say, same color, only shaded)

If I would like to compare two sets of data and display using as a frequency
polygon, can I do that in Excel. I tried using scatter charts and line chart,
but it puts the data on the Y axis, and I want it to be on the X-axis. Is
there a way to define what I want displayed on the X and Y axes incrementally
without it automatically numbering these axes automatically in Excel?
I'm having a hard time understanding pivot table basics. I have a worksheet with several thousand user records. My goals is to identify multiple records which have the same first name and lastname. These are two seperate fields (FIRST_NAME and LAST_NAME). I've opened the pivot table wizard, selected my entire worksheet and then clicked on the layout button. Beause I'm dealing with two fields, I'm not sure what to do from here.
If I had just one field, I'd put it in the row and data areas. When I do this for two fields, the pivot table doesn't return any data. Can somebody assist?
P.S. - There are over 3500 total records, so I don't want to scroll up and down forever to find where there is more than 1 match. Can the table be made to only display results that have 2 or more?
Alright i'm using Excel 2007, i created a table with 2 columns and 5 rows
cell A1 - A5 has a list of numbers, and Cells B1 - B5 has a list of food items,
I've created a blank User-Interface form, using VisualBasics which came inside excel 2007, how do i get the table in my Excel Sheet, to show as it is with it's color coding and grid lines in the VisualBasics Form,
My second question is, I also created a Seperate Visual Basics form in Visual Basics 2008, could i get the table in the Excel form, to show in the form in Visual Basics 2008 programme, I have no clue how to link Visual basics, to Excel so a non-overly technical step-by-step guide would be extremely appreciated,

Is it possible to create a cumulative frequency table with Pivot Tables?
e.g I have a set of data summarised into 5 segments with units #
I can use the pivot table options to produce the 2nd column (% of Total in Column) or 3rd Column ( running total) but I cannot find a way to get the 4th column ( cumulative % running total ?)
data# %total run to ***%
a 40 40% 40 40%
b 20 20% 60 60%
c 30 30% 90 90%
d 5 5% 95 95%
e 5 5% 100 100%
I want to be able to use the data to produce charts without having to copy and paste data to create seperate charts.

Ok, I've read "Pivot Table Data Crunching" but I still cannot figure out how to accomplish the following. I have data that includes the following fields:
Project
StartDate
EndDate
I basically want to be able to answer the question, how many projects started and ended each month?
I've been able to simply add startdate as a row and count of startdate as values. However, when I add enddate to both row and value, the counts are exactly the same.
I also realized that as I might not have a row with either a startdate or enddate in a given month, I have a hole. Not so bad in a pivot table, but not what I'm looking for in a pivot chart.
I'd appreciate any help.

I have months of Lottery sales data by market and county.
We are trying to create a chart from a pivot table. We show the sales for each game (Scratch-off, Play 4, Lotto etc) by county as a subset of market.
When we create the chart, it only shows the titles of the counties. The markets are excluded. Is there anyway to include the market titles?
