Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could clarify something for me?!!
Having recently run a campaign, we had sales figures last year of 3,125,000
This year we forecasted 4,304,475 (a 37.7% increase)
We actually ended up with 3,682,408 (a 17.84% increase)
This means we are 19.9% down on forecast....
However, a differing way of looking at things could be saying if you uplift last year by 37.7%, you end up with 4,303,125. Compare this to my actual this year (3,682,408), means down 14.42%!
So which is the correct figure? -19.9% or -14.42% ?!
Thanks!
In column (E3:E14), I need to multiply all the numbers in each cell E3, E4, E5, etc. by 4%, such that the results are generated in (F3:F14) F3, F4, F5?
Hi,
I haven't got a clue on how to add columns in a query which calculates percentages. I want to create a query as followed:
CoCd***************Auto*******************************Man
BE05************** =count of auto/count of BE05*****=count of man/count of BE05
BE06***************=count of auto/count of BE06*****=count of man/count of BE06
A sample database is attached where you can find all the fields which are mentioned in the above query. The CoCd field can be retrieved from the only query available. The Auto and Man fields need to be calculated.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
For the life of me I cannot remember how to do this.
But, I have:
Total data 1 % of data 1 data 2 % of data 2
2 1 0
2 1 0
2 1 1
3 2 0
2 2 0
2 2 0
16 13 3
15 10 3
A total count column and then different data columns to equal the total count column. I need to get the percentage of each column base don how much is given for each column. What formula would I use for this please?
Basically what I need to do is set up an Excel spreadsheet that will simply allow me to plug in the amount of premium sold on a policy, and have it tell me what the commission on that amount would be.
I would just want to plug in the premium and have it run it through each band to tell me the commission… for example, let’s say the premium is $550,000. Than I would want to plug that number in and have Excel automatically run the first $25,000 at 5.25%, the next $75,000 at 3%, and the last $50,000 at 1.5%... and have it tell me what the total commissions would be.
Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks!
Hi, I'm slowly going crazy here! What I thought would be a simple task is turning out to be anything but....for me at least!
All I want to do is to be able to input a number and then split it into bands:
0 to 1100
1100 to 1500
1500 to 1700
1700 and over.
The figure can be any value and can be less than 1500 say.
If the figure was 1750 I want to get
1100
400
200
50
for example.
Any help gratefully appreciated. I am sorry if this has been covered before but I feeling rather stupid and have my husband breathing down my neck - I told him it would take me 2 minutes!
Many thanks.
heys! I have encountered a problem with excel regarding this.
I have a value of $36,000. For the 1st $10000, i have to add 6%,
2nd $10000, 7%
And remaining values for 8%.
So in my case, I have to find the total value of the 1st 10000, with 6%, 2nd 10000, with 7% and last 6000 with 8%.
I need help on this as the requirement is to use a formula/function and not manually. Thanks in advance!
Hi folks, I'm virtualy a novice using excel especially when it comes to calculating formula.
I have been asked to make a three week count of our staff car park, we have 155 spaces in the carpark and I would like to know if it's possible for excel to calculate what % of spaces has been taken, and if that's possible can any1 tell me to do it , thanks in adv
In Excel 2007 I have a pivot whose rows count instances of records with specific values. For example
Sep 1
Fruit: 2000
Apples: 200
Sep 2
Fruit: 3000
Apples: 250
I want to add a percentage row, in this example how much fruit was apples on Sep 1:
Apple %: 10%
With Value field settings, the closest is %of column, but that shows 200 as a percent of all values in the column, i.e. as a % of 5450. Calculated fields (formula Apples/Fruit) do not work as the fields are text fields, and it seems to want to sum them and then divide which fails, I actually want to divide the count of them.
Any idea how to approach this one?
- Pete
