I have no problem creating a pareto chart, but what I can't seem to understand is how to make the line start from the top of the first data point? I've seen this done before, but not idea how to make it happen.
In the case of the attached example, the line would start at the top of the Jan data point.
Hi,
I have a living excel sheet that is continually being updated daily with problems that are happening on the manufacturing floor. The columns in the excel sheet allow the user to enter the project name, part number, type of failure, etc. I want to take this information and insert it into a Pareto chart.
How do I create a Pareto chart with a living document such as this, which has several thousand rows. My preference is that once a new line is added, the chart automatically updates. Do I need to use visual basics (I have never used it before) or can I do it another way? Any ideas?

Hello,
I need to automatically remove, from the X-axis in a Bar Chart, items that have a Y-axis value of zero in the source data. Thus, only non-zero items will appear in the chart's X-axis. This is for Excel 2007.
Attached is a sample Excel file. In "Class A Chart" the only products that should appear along the X-axis are Product 1, 48, 50, 52, 66, & 69, as these are the only non-zero Y-axis values in the source data.
The ideal solution cannot alter the source data, and must dynamically add/remove items from the X-axis based on the Y-axis value.
I have a pareto chart(Bar & Cumulative Line Chart) that I would like to have the line orginate at x = 0 & y = 0 without changing the position of the other points on the line chart. Basically this is for better visual appearance. When I add a 0 to the table, it skews the alignment of the line chart with the corresponding bar chart. I'm fairly new to VBA and not sure where to start. Any insight would be appreciated. Let me know if further clarification is needed.
Hi,
I want to create a pareto's chart based on column C (item description)and column H (Value)
Does anyone know how can I create a pareto chart using XL 2007? I knew how to do them on previous versions, plus I had some macros called "QI Macros for Excel" (which I don't have anymore plus don't know if they are available for the 2007 version! Would also help if anyone knew were I can get these for XL 2007!!)
Thanks a lot for your help!!!
I need one. Does anybody know where I can get a free Pareto Chart template so I can make them quickly. Office online only has one good template (the other two are rather appalling), the problem, it's for Excel 07, and I have '03, and I don't want to get '07, I want to get 2010? I think that's the next version. There is a Histogram function in Data Analysis tool Pack, that can be modified, but that takes as much time as creating one from scratch using chart wizard. I'm sure somebody has a Pareto Chart template?
Thanks
